I am a Psychotherapist; a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. This career found me while finishing up my undergraduate studies at U.C Davis. In the search for purpose and meaning, I discovered a journey that includes emotional wellness, recovery and growth. In turn, I share with you what I've learned in theory, in practice and what I see has helped client's I've worked with. I have over 15 years of experience, working in the non-profit, public, private sector and always learning to keep current. I've worked with children, youth, adults and families of diverse backgrounds in difficult or crisis situations, either providing support, resources, short-term, long-term counseling or psychotherapy. Having an appreciation for traveling, learning about people, cultures and life style differences, also allows me to bring cultural sensitivity and world perspective to my practice.
I work on having a balanced life: spending time with family, friends, baking- in search of a new cheesecake treat and best when outdoors catching sun rays. My zen time includes creativity: the arts-music & mindfulness photography to capture all that my memory may not. My motto: living well is a - "one day at a time practice & everyday matters."
Experience: I've worked with seriously, emotionally disturbed (SED) children in group home setting, with women's health at Davis Communicare Clinic, with children, youth and families at Kings County Child Protective Services in family maintenance, family reunification, family preservation to include parenting & adoption supportive services. In addition I've worked at UCSF Fresno Alzheimer's & Memory Center, Comprehensive Youth Services, House Psychiatric Clinic, Yolo Family Service Agency and in Acute hospital settings to include Children's Hospital Central CA. Currently, growing & expanding my private practice at Professional Drive Counseling Offices- Roseville. I look forward to working with you and your loved ones.
